Alpha Peak
Alpha Peak is an unusual rock formation found in the center of the valley. It is here that all the alphas gather once a month to discuss going ons in their packs. It is also a place where duels for rank are held.
|
Grasslands
The Grasslands are a wide open field to the north of Alpha Peak. It often has a breeze blowing through it, and the grasses are very tall. It is normally quite sunny, although when it does rain, it rains very hard, and there's no shelter from the weather there. The best a wolf there can hope for is to hide under a few of the large rocks that sit out there.
|
Open Lake
The Open Lake is the place that pups go to play under the supervision of a wolf or two. It has a large beach where they can play in the surf, and the water isn't very deep even out in the center of the lake. Because of this, wolves of all ages enjoy swimming there occasionally, and there is very little fear of drowning.
|
Lakeside Dens
The Lakeside Dens is a network of small caves of which many are just the right size for a few wolves to curl up into. When the caves themselves are full, there are a few thickets nearby that are perfect for little nests. This den area is home to the Golden Paw Pack.

Frozen Northern Fields
The Northern Tundra opens from the grasslands to the south. It is very cold, and even when it isn't snowing, it's freezing cold. There is little here, although there is often large cats and bears trekking though the area.

Eastern Mountaintops
The Eastern Mountain is a shorter, rounded top mountain full of caverns and forests to explore. It is very dangerous though, as cougars and bears do frequent this area. Pups are strictly forbidden from coming here without at least two guardians. The mountain is very close to the lake, and a stream sluices down the side of the mountain into the Open Lake.
|
Hunting Meadows
The Hunting Meadows is just north of the thick forest, and it is full of rabbits, birds, and other small game. Many wolves bring their pups here to learn as well as hunt from here. Pack hunts, however, do not occur here, as there is not enough cover for them to be successful.
|
Shining River
The Shining River empties out into the Open Lake from the north. It is lined with trees and gently sloping, mossy banks, and it has a slow, meandering current. It is considered very romantic, and often, newly mated wolves like to come here for some peace and quiet. It is also a good place to go to get away from the noise of the dens and the pups for a little while.

The Deer Thickets
The deer thickets are the largest area with big game. Big deer, elk, moose, and many other animals roam through here and call it home. It's a massive area, and there are remnants of human buildings that have long since been abandoned. The ruins are popular among teen wolves since it's difficult to find them in there, and it's also perfect for secret meetings...

Scruffy Plateau
The Western Desert is not so much a "desert" as it is simply a drier region in the valley. The grass is very scruffy here, and there's not much water. The few animals that do live here are very lean and stringy, so hunting is not allowed. From here, mountains can be seen very far to the west of the Alpha Peak.
